Mastering just wrapped up on my third album, 'In Awe of Simplicity,' at the hands
of Toronto's George Seara (50 Cent, The Game, Mos Def, more). So now it's off to
manufacturing. The three year wait is nearly over...
1. Art of Fresh - Get Free (Toronto - 2007) --------------------------------------------------------------------
D.O. & I first met at
Canadian Music Week in 2005, and we got to know each
other cause we use the same Indie Band Manager
software. I was real impressed by his business sense and
Stay Driven motivational speaking.
So when I found out his group, Art of Fresh (D.O. + Slakah the Beatchild), was shooting a video
over Easter weekend 2007, I dropped by this real fun shoot. Watch for me at "poof" and breaking
out the dance moves at the end.
2. Universal Soul - Back N Forth (Halifax - 2006) --------------------------------------------------------------------
Consisting of members Fiz, Voodoo, Tacktishion & DJ IV, Universal Soul is one of Halifax's veteran groups with roots dating back to the 80s. They bring that vintage block party rap vibe that I crave.
My featured role sees me freaking out because I'm the only one who realizes we're in a music video.
Shot in Halifax in April 2005, it features the amazing Amelia Curran.
Cameos from Classified, DJ Plaeboi, Mick D & Brad Cayford.
After shooting wrapped up, we performed at Trailer Park Boys season premiere, where J-Roc stole my sharpie.
I met Eternia for drinks back in June 2005 were we hatched plans for promoting her "Where I Been - The Collection" mixed by DJ Law and her hugely successful debut album, "It's Called Life."
In Sept 2005, Fredericton's premiere b-boy export, Graeme Guthrie, was dancing for the Blue Jays, so he laced me with tix to a game vs the Red Sox, where I saw Jon Papelbon's first ever win.
