October 24, 2003Well I'm getting excited about my big show this Saturday (Oct. 25) at the Elks Club (218 Brunswick St, Fredericton). It's an all ages venue, and the cost is $5. Doors open at 8:30 pm.I'll be performing first around 9 pm as PIMP-T. I've got Bonshah and Mickey D coming out to perform a brand spankin new song called 'P. Titty'... it's hot! Then Rory Borealis is back with his fly dance moves and will be making his rapping debut! I'm also hoping to perform another new song called 'Hick Hop.' Time will tell. Then my brother's new band, Fixxion, is up around 10 pm. They're a fresh new 3-piece heavy/hard rock outfit. They'll be getting the crowd movin with a mix of original and cover songs (Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park). They've got some kickin' tunes, a couple of which have gotten stuck in my head ('Pink Brain' and 'Rock Star') - and after all, my brother is the mastermind behind the hit 'Super Dude'. Oh yeah, Mark the drummer's grandmother is in poor health, so my well wishes go out to her. Then the grand finale: Freaky Scene. This is a side project of mine spearheaded by Rod Marquart of Halifax. He provides some wicked music described as "cyber electronic punk", while I do some acting, dancing and rapping and ShanMonster does some wicked belly/middle-eastern dancing. It's a site that shouldn't be missed, with a finale that rocked the Halifax Experimental Music Festival last weekend; heck it even made headlines in news at CKDU (Dal's radio station). I don't want to ruin the surprise, so you'll have to come out to find out. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I was so excited for a show. I just hope all the pieces fit into their proper places and that all of you who come out have a great time. Cheers, Troy |
